RELOCATION
Relocating individuals and families is a sensitive process, whether for one day or several months. Ensuring that all requirements are met while treating families with respect and dignity is essential to a successful outcome. EJP works with development team members to carefully and thoughtfully plan for and carry out the relocation of families who must move either temporarily or permanently due to development activities.
Our team provides technical assistance and guidance throughout the entire relocation process –from planning to successful moves. We have advised our clients on relocation efforts for many project types including demolition/disposition, on-site rehabilitation, new construction and conversions through Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), Choice Neighborhoods, Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) and other programs.
Our goal is to ensure that relocation practices and efforts comply with all federal, state and local guidelines, and that families are fully aware of their rights, receive their unit of choice, and experience a smooth process with limited emotional or physical turmoil.
